MTN Ghana appoints Ibrahim Misto as new Chief Digital Officer

MTN Ghana has announced the appointment of Ibrahim Misto to the position of Chief Digital Officer, marking a new era in the company’s journey of digital innovation. He replaces Dario Bianchi, who spearheaded several groundbreaking changes in MTN Ghana’s digital transformation journey.

Who is Ibrahim Misto?
Ibrahim Misto brings over a decade of experience in digital strategy, customer experience, and technological innovation within the MTN Group. He has held various leadership roles, driven impactful digital initiatives and contributing to the organization’s growth across multiple markets.

Misto’s career has been supported by the power of emerging technologies in the transformation of operations and delivery of customer-focused solutions. His experience includes digital product development, automation, and integration of advanced platforms that make services efficient and accessible to users.
As the new CDO, Misto is expected to lead MTN Ghana’s next phase of digital transformation, ensuring that the company not only remains competitive but also pioneers solutions that resonate with the dynamic needs of its customers.

Ibrahim Misto replaces Dario Bianchi, who was the Chief Digital Officer of MTN Ghana since 2018. Bianchi played a central role in building the company’s first digital team and introducing transformative platforms.
Among his most remarkable works was the Gameworld platform launched in January 2024. This gaming hub offered over 900 premium games and created new revenue streams targeted at Ghana’s youth.

A New Chapter of Leadership
With Misto now at the helm, MTN Ghana is positioned to continue its upward trajectory in digital innovation. His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its digital leadership while prioritizing customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Misto’s appointment is seen as a testament to his proven ability to deliver results. He steps into the role with a mission to build on Bianchi’s legacy, introduce fresh ideas, and solidify MTN Ghana’s position as a leader in Africa’s digital ecosystem.

Under Misto’s leadership, MTN Ghana customers and stakeholders can look forward to a very progressive approach in terms of digital services-to keep the company at the forefront of innovation in the telecommunications industry.
